Julia King, MS
I entered this field because I want to provide a safe and accepting place for people to share their stories and seek help with the difficulties that are impacting their lives. I truly appreciate understanding client’s perspectives and helping them move toward mutually established therapeutic goals.
My treatment orientation integrates Cognitive-Behavioral, Acceptance and Commitment, Mindfulness-Based, Emotion-Focused, and Relational Therapy and is individualized based on the needs of each client.
My areas of specialty include but are not limited to:
- Individuals experiencing anxiety such as phobias, social anxiety, and generalized anxiety.
- Individuals struggling with obsessive-compulsive behavior such as OCD, body dysmorphic disorder, hair-pulling, and skin-picking.
- Individuals and couples impacted by sexual difficulties such as female orgasmic disorder, vulvodynia, and erectile dysfunction.
I am an individual and relational therapist and a member of the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors and Therapists (AASECT). I received my Master of Science Degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Mental Health Counseling, which will prepare me for a career as a Licensed Professional Counselor. I have also completed a post graduate education program in Sex Therapy at Council for Relationships.
